BOULDER AEROMODELING SOCIETY
BAS Club Operations Description

The club has members who are active in various aspects of R/C aero modeling: glow/gas and electric powered models, sailplanes, helicopters, sport flying, aerobatics and pylon racing. While some of the Club members compete in a variety of events from local to international contests, most of us are just sport flyers enjoying building and flying our planes. Many of the Club members donate their time, effort, and money to improve the field and to provide instruction and help to beginning flyers.

The club operates an RC flying field on City of Boulder property at the Boulder Reservoir, and is authorized by the city to maintain and improve the field. The field consists of two paved runways, an area for flying sailplanes, a pit area, a shelter, and a porta-potti. The field gates are locked at all times when club members are not present. As a member, you will receive access and will be responsible for locking the gate when you leave, if no other members are present.

Our activities include a monthly meeting held at 6:30 pm on the second Wednesday of the month: from September through May at the HobbyTown USA store in Longmont (1935 Main St., Longmont, CO 80501, on the West side of the street next to Wendy's), and from June through August at the flying field.
