Float Flyers

The BAS Club has established a Float Flyers Special Interest sub-group.

This group has been identified as a separate entity of the club and no club general funds are used to support the activity.

Membership and dues for the sub-group are in addition to the Club’s basic membership and are identified separately on the member application form.

Membership in the Club is a prerequisite to membership in the float fliers sub-group.

The group flies at the Boulder Reservoir every Monday Morning weather permitting.

The club owns a retrieval boat which is kept at the flying field and brought to the reservoir each session by a volunteer.

A float flyer coordinator is an assigned position with the club and will coordinate all activity.

Please review the group’s description and rules in the links below for requirements and restrictions.

The Boulder Reservoir area used for float flying has been approved as a FRIA site. Remote ID equipment is not required while flying within the AMA guidelines.
